What Doozy can do in Amplitude

Doozy runs queries and reads charts, dashboards and cohorts. For EU data residency, add Amplitude's EU address as your own server. Tools Amplitude marks as destructive start off. Amplitude's own server provides the tools, so what Doozy can do there is what Amplitude offers and grows as they add to it. Each tool has a switch in Doozy.

  • Query your events and read saved charts
  • Read dashboards and notebooks, and create or edit them
  • Read cohorts, and create them
  • Read experiments and feature flags
  • Read session replays and user data
  • Read your events, properties and tracking plan

Things people ask

In a thread, after @Doozy. It answers in that thread, with what it did.

  • @Doozy which accounts used the new export feature last week? Put them in a sheet with their plan.

  • @Doozy chart day-30 retention for users who signed up in September vs August.

  • @Doozy find three session replays of people who abandoned checkout today.

  • @Doozy every Monday at 9, post the weekly active users chart and anything that moved more than 10%.

How to connect Amplitude

No keys to paste: Amplitude asks you to approve Doozy, the way it does for any app, and you can revoke that there any time.

  1. 1

Add Doozy to your Slack and open the Integrations page in the web app.

  2. 2

Pick Amplitude and click Connect. Amplitude's own sign-in asks you to approve Doozy.

  3. 3

Choose which of its tools Doozy may use, and mention @Doozy in a thread.

What stays off, and what's always true

Doozy works like a teammate, so it doesn't stop to ask. You decide what it can reach.

Off until you say so

  • Any tool Amplitude marks as destructive, such as deleting events or properties from your tracking plan

Always

  • Every task runs in its own isolated workspace. Credentials stay outside it.
  • Every tool has a switch. Tools that delete or overwrite start off.
  • Every action it takes is on the audit log, with who asked and what happened.
  • Owners and admins connect tools and choose switches. Members can only look.

Works well with

One ask often crosses tools: a Sentry error becomes a GitHub pull request and a Linear issue. Doozy uses whichever it needs.

Questions people ask before they connect Amplitude

Does it work with Amplitude's EU data center?
Yes. Doozy connects to Amplitude's US server by default; if your data is in the EU, add Amplitude's EU address as your own server in Doozy.
What permissions does it need?
Amplitude has two MCP permissions per project, read and write. Every role can read; Member, Manager and Admin can also write. Doozy works with the access of the person who connected it.
Can it change our tracking plan?
It can add and edit events and properties if your Amplitude role allows changes to the tracking plan. Deleting them starts switched off.
Can Doozy see our Amplitude credentials?
No. Every task runs in its own isolated workspace, and credentials stay outside it: they're added to each call on its way out. Nothing it reads or writes there can expose a key.
Will it change things in Amplitude without asking?
It works like a teammate, so it doesn't stop to ask, and you decide what it can reach. Tools that delete or overwrite start switched off, you can switch off any other, and every action it takes is on the audit log with who asked.
Who can connect it?
Owners and admins of your Doozy workspace. Members see what's connected and can't change it. Everyone in your Slack can ask Doozy once it's connected.
What does it cost?
Nothing extra. Every integration is included on every plan, and the 14-day trial needs no card.
