AI & Data Use

What Doozy reads in your workspace, what its AI sees, what it remembers, and what it never does with your data.

Last updated

The short version. Doozy reads what it is asked to work on. Your work is never used to train AI models, by us or by the AI providers we use. You can see and change what Doozy remembers.

What Doozy reads

Doozy works when someone mentions it. It then reads the request, the thread it is in, any files shared there, and whatever it needs from the tools your workspace has connected to do the job.

In a private channel or a direct message, Doozy reads the conversation only on behalf of someone who is part of it. It does not read Slack conversations it is not mentioned in, except to learn from public channels, below.

What Doozy remembers

Doozy keeps notes about your business, such as who owns what and how your team likes things done, so it does not need to be told twice. It learns them only from public channels, or when someone asks it to remember something. It does not learn from private channels or direct messages unless asked to there.

Owners and admins can read, edit, delete and export everything Doozy remembers from the web app.

What the AI sees

To do a task, Doozy sends the AI model the request, its context and the results of the work so far. Doozy’s AI is included in every plan and runs on models from the providers listed on our sub-processors page. On a paid plan you can bring your own key from a provider of your choice, and requests then go to that provider under your agreement with it.

Your passwords, API keys and connected-tool credentials are not shown to the AI. They are stored encrypted and used on Doozy’s behalf without being handed to the model. If a task needs a secret you have saved, Doozy asks for it by name, says why, and keeps it out of what it writes back.

No training on your data

  • We do not train AI models on your content: your messages, files, Memory, Skills or anything else Doozy works with.
  • The AI providers we use do not either. They process your requests only to return a response, under terms that prohibit using that data to train their models.

Your controls

  • Tools. Choose which tools Doozy can use. Tools that delete or overwrite start switched off, and you can switch off any other.
  • Memory. Read, edit, delete or export what Doozy remembers.
  • Your own AI. On a paid plan, run Doozy on your own provider key.
  • Visibility. The activity record in the web app shows who asked for something in a private place, never what was asked.

Check its work

Doozy is AI and can be wrong. It tells you what it did and how it went, including when something failed, but review its work before relying on it for anything that matters.

Retention

How long we keep what Doozy works with, and how to have it deleted, is set out in our Privacy Policy.
