What Doozy can do in Outlook

Doozy reads the mailbox and calendar that's connected and writes drafts for you to send. Sending, forwarding, deleting, mail rules and changing events start off. You approve Doozy on Microsoft's own sign-in screen, with no keys to paste, and each tool has a switch in Doozy.

  • Search and read email, including sent mail, folders and attachments
  • Write drafts: new emails, replies, reply-alls and forwards
  • Move, flag, pin and categorize messages, mark them read, and create folders
  • Read and search calendar events and schedules, and find meeting times
  • Look up people and contacts, and add or update contacts
  • Read, add and update tasks in Microsoft To Do

Things people ask

In a thread, after @Doozy. It answers in that thread, with what it did.

  • @Doozy what did the Contoso team say about the delivery date this week?

  • @Doozy when are Priya and I both free for 30 minutes on Thursday?

  • @Doozy draft a reply to the latest email from Contoso saying the order ships Monday.

  • @Doozy every morning at 8, post the unread customer emails and today's meetings, and draft a reply to each email.

How to connect Outlook

No keys to paste: Outlook asks you to approve Doozy, the way it does for any app, and you can revoke that there any time.

  1. 1

Add Doozy to your Slack and open the Integrations page in the web app.

  2. 2

Pick Outlook and click Connect. Microsoft's own sign-in asks you to approve Doozy.

  3. 3

Choose which of its tools Doozy may use, and mention @Doozy in a thread.

What stays off, and what's always true

Doozy works like a teammate, so it doesn't stop to ask. You decide what it can reach.

Off until you say so

  • Sending email, including replies and forwards, and deleting email
  • Creating, changing, accepting or cancelling calendar events
  • Creating or changing mail rules and mailbox settings

Always

  • Every task runs in its own isolated workspace. Credentials stay outside it.
  • Every tool has a switch. Tools that delete or overwrite start off.
  • Every action it takes is on the audit log, with who asked and what happened.
  • Owners and admins connect tools and choose switches. Members can only look.

One ask often crosses tools: a Sentry error becomes a GitHub pull request and a Linear issue. Doozy uses whichever it needs.

Questions people ask before they connect Outlook

Can Doozy send email from Outlook?
Not out of the box. It writes drafts, including replies and forwards, that land in your Outlook Drafts folder, and you send them. Sending and deleting start switched off; an admin can turn them on.
Does it work with Microsoft 365 work accounts and Outlook.com?
The person connecting approves Doozy on Microsoft's own sign-in screen. If your Microsoft 365 admin requires approval for third-party apps, they may need to allow it first.
Can it connect more than one Outlook account?
Yes. Each connection is one Microsoft account, and a workspace can add more than one, such as a shared support mailbox and a founder's inbox.
Can Doozy see our Outlook credentials?
No. Every task runs in its own isolated workspace, and credentials stay outside it: they're added to each call on its way out. Nothing it reads or writes there can expose a key.
Will it change things in Outlook without asking?
It works like a teammate, so it doesn't stop to ask, and you decide what it can reach. Tools that delete or overwrite start switched off, you can switch off any other, and every action it takes is on the audit log with who asked.
Who can connect it?
Owners and admins of your Doozy workspace. Members see what's connected and can't change it. Everyone in your Slack can ask Doozy once it's connected.
What does it cost?
Nothing extra. Every integration is included on every plan, and the 14-day trial needs no card.
