What Doozy can do in Google Sheets

Doozy reads spreadsheets, adds and updates rows and creates new sheets. Clearing or deleting data starts off. You approve Doozy on Google's own sign-in screen, with no keys to paste, and each tool has a switch in Doozy.

  • Search spreadsheets and read any sheet or range
  • Look up a row by value, and total or average a column
  • Add rows, update cells, and insert or update rows by a key column
  • Create a spreadsheet or a new tab
  • Sort ranges, format cells and resize columns
  • Create and update charts

Things people ask

In a thread, after @Doozy. It answers in that thread, with what it did.

  • @Doozy how many orders in the Orders sheet came from Germany last month?

  • @Doozy add the people in this thread to the Leads sheet with their company and email.

  • @Doozy pull this month's Stripe payouts into a new sheet and chart them by week.

  • @Doozy every Monday at 9, post the rows in the Renewals sheet due in the next 30 days.

How to connect Google Sheets

No keys to paste: Google Sheets asks you to approve Doozy, the way it does for any app, and you can revoke that there any time.

  1. 1

Add Doozy to your Slack and open the Integrations page in the web app.

  2. 2

Pick Google Sheets and click Connect. Google's own sign-in asks you to approve Doozy.

  3. 3

Choose which of its tools Doozy may use, and mention @Doozy in a thread.

What stays off, and what's always true

Doozy works like a teammate, so it doesn't stop to ask. You decide what it can reach.

Off until you say so

  • Clearing values and deleting rows, columns, tabs or charts
  • Changing filters, data validation and conditional formatting

Always

  • Every task runs in its own isolated workspace. Credentials stay outside it.
  • Every tool has a switch. Tools that delete or overwrite start off.
  • Every action it takes is on the audit log, with who asked and what happened.
  • Owners and admins connect tools and choose switches. Members can only look.

Works well with

One ask often crosses tools: a Sentry error becomes a GitHub pull request and a Linear issue. Doozy uses whichever it needs.

Questions people ask before they connect Google Sheets

Can Doozy write to my Google Sheets?
Yes. It adds rows, updates cells and creates sheets and charts when you ask. Clearing or deleting data starts switched off, so a question can't wipe a range.
Can it make charts in Google Sheets?
Yes. It can create a chart in the sheet from a range you name, update it later, and post the link in the thread.
Does it work with Google Workspace and personal accounts?
Both. The person connecting approves Doozy on Google's own sign-in screen, and it sees the spreadsheets that account can see.
Can Doozy see our Google Sheets credentials?
No. Every task runs in its own isolated workspace, and credentials stay outside it: they're added to each call on its way out. Nothing it reads or writes there can expose a key.
Will it change things in Google Sheets without asking?
It works like a teammate, so it doesn't stop to ask, and you decide what it can reach. Tools that delete or overwrite start switched off, you can switch off any other, and every action it takes is on the audit log with who asked.
Who can connect it?
Owners and admins of your Doozy workspace. Members see what's connected and can't change it. Everyone in your Slack can ask Doozy once it's connected.
What does it cost?
Nothing extra. Every integration is included on every plan, and the 14-day trial needs no card.
