What Doozy can do in Google Calendar
Doozy reads calendars and events and finds free time. Creating or changing events emails the guests, so those tools start off. You approve Doozy on Google's own sign-in screen, with no keys to paste, and each tool has a switch in Doozy.
- List and search events on one calendar or all of them
- Read an event's time, guests, location and description
- Find free and busy time across several calendars
- List calendars, rooms and resources you can see
- Create a new calendar, or change a calendar's name and settings

How to connect Google Calendar
No keys to paste: Google Calendar asks you to approve Doozy, the way it does for any app, and you can revoke that there any time.
- 1
Add Doozy to your Slack and open the Integrations page in the web app.
- 2
Pick Google Calendar and click Connect. Google's own sign-in asks you to approve Doozy.
- 3
Choose which of its tools Doozy may use, and mention @Doozy in a thread.
What stays off, and what's always true
Doozy works like a teammate, so it doesn't stop to ask. You decide what it can reach.
Off until you say so
- Creating, changing, moving or deleting events, which emails the guests
- Sharing a calendar and changing who can see it
Always
- Every task runs in its own isolated workspace. Credentials stay outside it.
- Every tool has a switch. Tools that delete or overwrite start off.
- Every action it takes is on the audit log, with who asked and what happened.
- Owners and admins connect tools and choose switches. Members can only look.

Works well with
One ask often crosses tools: a Sentry error becomes a GitHub pull request and a Linear issue. Doozy uses whichever it needs.
Questions people ask before they connect Google Calendar
- Can Doozy book meetings?
- Not until an admin turns that on. Creating or changing an event sends email to the guests, so those tools start switched off. Out of the box it reads events and finds times that work.
- Whose calendars can it see?
- The ones the connected Google account can see: its own, and any calendars shared with it. Free and busy time for teammates depends on what your Google Workspace shares.
- Does it work with personal Google accounts?
- Yes, and with Google Workspace. The person connecting approves Doozy on Google's own sign-in screen.
- Can Doozy see our Google Calendar credentials?
- No. Every task runs in its own isolated workspace, and credentials stay outside it: they're added to each call on its way out. Nothing it reads or writes there can expose a key.
- Will it change things in Google Calendar without asking?
- It works like a teammate, so it doesn't stop to ask, and you decide what it can reach. Tools that delete or overwrite start switched off, you can switch off any other, and every action it takes is on the audit log with who asked.
- Who can connect it?
- Owners and admins of your Doozy workspace. Members see what's connected and can't change it. Everyone in your Slack can ask Doozy once it's connected.
- What does it cost?
- Nothing extra. Every integration is included on every plan, and the 14-day trial needs no card.
