What Doozy can do in Close

Doozy reads leads, contacts, opportunities and activity, and adds notes, tasks and new records when you ask; changing existing records needs Close's full access level. Tools Close marks as destructive start off. Close's own server provides the tools, so what Doozy can do there is what Close offers and grows as they add to it. Each tool has a switch in Doozy.

  • Search leads and contacts in plain words, and read smart views
  • Read a lead with its contacts, opportunities, emails, calls and notes
  • Read call and meeting transcripts
  • Find opportunities by status, owner or close date, and count pipeline metrics
  • Create leads, contacts, opportunities, notes and tasks
  • Save a draft email on a lead for someone to send

Things people ask

In a thread, after @Doozy. It answers in that thread, with what it did.

  • @Doozy which opportunities close this month and haven't had a call in two weeks?

  • @Doozy what did we promise acme.com on the last call? Check the transcript.

  • @Doozy create a lead for the company in this thread, with these two contacts, and a task for me to call Friday.

  • @Doozy every Monday at 9, post the pipeline by status and owner.

How to connect Close

No keys to paste: Close asks you to approve Doozy, the way it does for any app, and you can revoke that there any time.

  1. 1

Add Doozy to your Slack and open the Integrations page in the web app.

  2. 2

Pick Close and click Connect. Close's own sign-in asks you to approve Doozy.

  3. 3

Choose which of its tools Doozy may use, and mention @Doozy in a thread.

What stays off, and what's always true

Doozy works like a teammate, so it doesn't stop to ask. You decide what it can reach.

Off until you say so

  • Deleting leads, contacts, opportunities, notes and tasks, and merging leads

Always

  • Every task runs in its own isolated workspace. Credentials stay outside it.
  • Every tool has a switch. Tools that delete or overwrite start off.
  • Every action it takes is on the audit log, with who asked and what happened.
  • Owners and admins connect tools and choose switches. Members can only look.

One ask often crosses tools: a Sentry error becomes a GitHub pull request and a Linear issue. Doozy uses whichever it needs.

Questions people ask before they connect Close

Can it update existing leads and opportunities?
Close's consent screen offers three levels: read only, read and write, and read, write and delete. Updating existing records comes with the last one. Doozy keeps the tools Close marks as destructive switched off until an admin turns them on.
Will it email my leads?
No. It saves draft emails on a lead for a person to send; Close's server has no tool that sends email.
Which Close organization does it use?
The one you choose on Close's authorization page when you connect.
Can Doozy see our Close credentials?
No. Every task runs in its own isolated workspace, and credentials stay outside it: they're added to each call on its way out. Nothing it reads or writes there can expose a key.
Will it change things in Close without asking?
It works like a teammate, so it doesn't stop to ask, and you decide what it can reach. Tools that delete or overwrite start switched off, you can switch off any other, and every action it takes is on the audit log with who asked.
Who can connect it?
Owners and admins of your Doozy workspace. Members see what's connected and can't change it. Everyone in your Slack can ask Doozy once it's connected.
What does it cost?
Nothing extra. Every integration is included on every plan, and the 14-day trial needs no card.
