What Doozy can do in Google Ads

Doozy reads campaigns, ad groups and their performance. Every tool that changes an account or spends money starts off. You approve Doozy on Google's own sign-in screen, with no keys to paste, and each tool has a switch in Doozy.

  • Report spend, clicks, conversions and cost per conversion by campaign, ad group, ad or keyword
  • Read search terms people used before clicking
  • Look up a campaign by name or ID
  • Find keyword ideas with search volume
  • List accessible accounts, sub-accounts and experiments
  • Check conversion actions and their tags

Things people ask

In a thread, after @Doozy. It answers in that thread, with what it did.

  • @Doozy which campaigns spent the most last week and what did each cost per conversion?

  • @Doozy which search terms cost us money without a conversion this month? Put them in a sheet.

  • @Doozy find keyword ideas for `bookkeeping for startups` with monthly volume.

  • @Doozy every Monday at 9, post last week's spend, clicks and conversions by campaign.

How to connect Google Ads

No keys to paste: Google Ads asks you to approve Doozy, the way it does for any app, and you can revoke that there any time.

  1. 1

Add Doozy to your Slack and open the Integrations page in the web app.

  2. 2

Pick Google Ads and click Connect. Google's own sign-in asks you to approve Doozy.

  3. 3

Choose which of its tools Doozy may use, and mention @Doozy in a thread.

What stays off, and what's always true

Doozy works like a teammate, so it doesn't stop to ask. You decide what it can reach.

Off until you say so

  • Every change to an account: campaigns, budgets, bids, ads, keywords, audiences and experiments
  • Uploading conversions and changing customer lists

Always

  • Every task runs in its own isolated workspace. Credentials stay outside it.
  • Every tool has a switch. Tools that delete or overwrite start off.
  • Every action it takes is on the audit log, with who asked and what happened.
  • Owners and admins connect tools and choose switches. Members can only look.

Works well with

One ask often crosses tools: a Sentry error becomes a GitHub pull request and a Linear issue. Doozy uses whichever it needs.

Questions people ask before they connect Google Ads

Can Doozy change my campaigns or budgets?
Not unless an admin turns those tools on. Every Google Ads tool that changes an account or spends money starts switched off, so out of the box it only reads.
Does it work with a manager (MCC) account?
It lists the accounts the connected Google account can reach, including client accounts under a manager account, and reports on each.
Can Doozy see our Google Ads credentials?
No. Every task runs in its own isolated workspace, and credentials stay outside it: they're added to each call on its way out. Nothing it reads or writes there can expose a key.
Will it change things in Google Ads without asking?
It works like a teammate, so it doesn't stop to ask, and you decide what it can reach. Tools that delete or overwrite start switched off, you can switch off any other, and every action it takes is on the audit log with who asked.
Who can connect it?
Owners and admins of your Doozy workspace. Members see what's connected and can't change it. Everyone in your Slack can ask Doozy once it's connected.
What does it cost?
Nothing extra. Every integration is included on every plan, and the 14-day trial needs no card.
