What Doozy can do in Mailchimp

Doozy reads audiences, campaigns, automations and reports, and drafts campaigns when you ask. Sending, scheduling and deleting start off. You approve Doozy on Mailchimp's own sign-in screen, with no keys to paste, and each tool has a switch in Doozy.

  • Find subscribers and read their details, tags and activity
  • Read audiences and their growth, segments and signup forms
  • Read campaigns, their content and reports: opens, clicks, bounces and unsubscribes
  • Read automations, templates, landing pages and surveys
  • Read your connected store's orders, customers and products
  • Create a draft campaign and write its content
  • Add a contact to an audience, or update one's details

Things people ask

In a thread, after @Doozy. It answers in that thread, with what it did.

  • @Doozy how did the last three campaigns do? Opens, clicks and unsubscribes, side by side.

  • @Doozy who clicked the pricing link in Tuesday's newsletter? Put them in a sheet.

  • @Doozy draft a campaign to the Customers audience about the holiday hours in this thread.

  • @Doozy every Monday at 9, post last week's audience growth and the best campaign by clicks.

How to connect Mailchimp

No keys to paste: Mailchimp asks you to approve Doozy, the way it does for any app, and you can revoke that there any time.

  1. 1

Add Doozy to your Slack and open the Integrations page in the web app.

  2. 2

Pick Mailchimp and click Connect. Mailchimp's own sign-in asks you to approve Doozy.

  3. 3

Choose which of its tools Doozy may use, and mention @Doozy in a thread.

What stays off, and what's always true

Doozy works like a teammate, so it doesn't stop to ask. You decide what it can reach.

Off until you say so

  • Sending, scheduling and test-sending campaigns, and changing a campaign's settings
  • Starting automated emails, adding subscribers to them, and publishing landing pages or surveys
  • Subscribing or unsubscribing members in bulk, and archiving or deleting anything

Always

  • Every task runs in its own isolated workspace. Credentials stay outside it.
  • Every tool has a switch. Tools that delete or overwrite start off.
  • Every action it takes is on the audit log, with who asked and what happened.
  • Owners and admins connect tools and choose switches. Members can only look.

One ask often crosses tools: a Sentry error becomes a GitHub pull request and a Linear issue. Doozy uses whichever it needs.

Questions people ask before they connect Mailchimp

Can Doozy send a Mailchimp campaign?
Not out of the box. It creates the campaign and writes its content as a draft for you to finish and send in Mailchimp. Sending, scheduling and test sends start switched off; an admin can turn them on.
Can it add subscribers to my audience?
Yes, one at a time when you ask: it can add a contact to an audience or update one's details. Bulk subscribing and unsubscribing, and archiving or deleting members, start switched off.
Can it start or change my automations?
It reads your automations and how they perform, and can pause one. Starting automated emails and adding subscribers to them start switched off.
Can it see our store's orders?
If your store is connected to Mailchimp, yes: Doozy reads the orders, customers, products and carts it syncs there.
Can Doozy see our Mailchimp credentials?
No. Every task runs in its own isolated workspace, and credentials stay outside it: they're added to each call on its way out. Nothing it reads or writes there can expose a key.
Will it change things in Mailchimp without asking?
It works like a teammate, so it doesn't stop to ask, and you decide what it can reach. Tools that delete or overwrite start switched off, you can switch off any other, and every action it takes is on the audit log with who asked.
Who can connect it?
Owners and admins of your Doozy workspace. Members see what's connected and can't change it. Everyone in your Slack can ask Doozy once it's connected.
What does it cost?
Nothing extra. Every integration is included on every plan, and the 14-day trial needs no card.
