What Doozy can do in Salesforce

Doozy queries and reads records and creates or updates leads, contacts, tasks and opportunities when you ask. Deleting, bulk jobs and changes to fields or objects start off. You approve Doozy on Salesforce's own sign-in screen, with no keys to paste, and each tool has a switch in Doozy.

  • Search and query accounts, contacts, leads, opportunities and campaigns, with SOQL or plain words
  • Read a record with its related records, notes and files
  • Run reports, save new ones, and list reports and dashboards
  • Create accounts, contacts, leads, opportunities, campaigns and tasks
  • Update records: a deal's stage, a lead's status, a contact's details, a task's due date
  • Log calls and emails against a record, add notes and files, and complete tasks
  • Add leads and contacts to a campaign, and products to an opportunity

Things people ask

In a thread, after @Doozy. It answers in that thread, with what it did.

  • @Doozy which opportunities over $20k close this quarter and have no activity in 14 days?

  • @Doozy run the Pipeline by Rep report and post the totals here.

  • @Doozy move the Globex opportunity to Negotiation, log this thread as a call, and add a follow-up task for me on Thursday.

  • @Doozy every Monday at 9, post the deals that moved stage last week.

How to connect Salesforce

No keys to paste: Salesforce asks you to approve Doozy, the way it does for any app, and you can revoke that there any time.

  1. 1

Add Doozy to your Slack and open the Integrations page in the web app.

  2. 2

Pick Salesforce and click Connect. Salesforce's own sign-in asks you to approve Doozy.

  3. 3

Choose which of its tools Doozy may use, and mention @Doozy in a thread.

What stays off, and what's always true

Doozy works like a teammate, so it doesn't stop to ask. You decide what it can reach.

Off until you say so

  • Deleting records, notes and files, and removing people from campaigns
  • Sending email from Salesforce, one at a time, from a template or in bulk
  • Bulk jobs, mass ownership transfers, quick actions, lead assignment rules, user passwords, and creating or changing custom fields, objects, flows and validation rules

Always

  • Every task runs in its own isolated workspace. Credentials stay outside it.
  • Every tool has a switch. Tools that delete or overwrite start off.
  • Every action it takes is on the audit log, with who asked and what happened.
  • Owners and admins connect tools and choose switches. Members can only look.

Works well with

One ask often crosses tools: a Sentry error becomes a GitHub pull request and a Linear issue. Doozy uses whichever it needs.

Questions people ask before they connect Salesforce

Whose access does Doozy use in Salesforce?
The person who connected it. They approve Doozy on Salesforce's own sign-in screen, and Doozy sees and changes only what their profile and permissions allow.
Can it email our customers from Salesforce?
Not unless an admin turns that on. Sending email, single or in bulk, starts switched off. Doozy can log an email against a record and draft one in your Slack thread for a person to send.
Can it change our Salesforce setup?
Not out of the box. Creating or changing custom fields and objects, flows and validation rules starts switched off, along with deletes, bulk jobs and mass ownership transfers.
Can Doozy see our Salesforce credentials?
No. Every task runs in its own isolated workspace, and credentials stay outside it: they're added to each call on its way out. Nothing it reads or writes there can expose a key.
Will it change things in Salesforce without asking?
It works like a teammate, so it doesn't stop to ask, and you decide what it can reach. Tools that delete or overwrite start switched off, you can switch off any other, and every action it takes is on the audit log with who asked.
Who can connect it?
Owners and admins of your Doozy workspace. Members see what's connected and can't change it. Everyone in your Slack can ask Doozy once it's connected.
What does it cost?
Nothing extra. Every integration is included on every plan, and the 14-day trial needs no card.
